Hello!

My name is Martha Sam.
Hello!
I am a Nigerian American Landscape Designer/Architect with four years of multifaceted experience in shaping environments that inspire and connect. My approach to design is guided by a deep commitment to honoring cultural histories and narratives, believing that thoughtful integration of these elements can transform spaces into meaningful, impactful places. By blending creativity, functionality, and cultural sensitivity, I aim to craft landscapes that not only enhance the quality of life for individuals but also foster stronger, more resilient communities.

My mission extends beyond the professional realm; I aspire to carry forward my values of incorporating an understanding of history, culture, and community into the broader design world. Drawing from my diverse background in sculpture and ceramics, I bring a unique perspective and a synthesis of knowledge from different mediums to my design approach.
In addition to my professional pursuits, I am a retired athlete who dedicates my free time to community engagement. Whether volunteering as a coach at my former high school or serving as a youth and young adult leader at my church, I am committed to making a positive impact. You might also find me covered in clay at a ceramic studio, where I continue to explore and express my creative passions.
This multifaceted blend of professional expertise, values-driven design philosophy, and community engagement underscores my commitment to contributing meaningfully to the field and making a positive difference in the lives of those I serve.
